I am pleased to present another fabulous retreat on Saturday, October 7th.
ART FEST is all about creative exploration. I will introduce you to a variety of different materials, new approaches with common products, and creative ways to use them. You’ll have the freedom to explore and use your imagination. We will explore the art process with the goal of giving you the ability to ignite your creative potential.
It’s a one-day workshop of learning, great fun, and a way to advance your skills in the world of mixed media. The project journal itself is unbound, to allow you to keep adding pages and inserts to make a great collection of nature themed art pieces. You will be using various substrates as pages in your journal, including cheesecloth, canvas, textiles, watercolor paper, and handmade papers.
The Nature Journal project is inspired by the textures and colors of the natural world. We’ll play with stencils, inks, mark making tools, acrylics, wax, watercolors, and monoprinting. We’ll stitch, glue, paint, collage, sketch, stamp, and embellish the pages to create unique and personal vignettes of your artistic style. The potential for fun is endless!
Space is limited to 16 spots. Table space is generous with ample seating. Please call the store to book a spot, 780-414-1540
Saturday, Oct. 07th from 10 am to 10 pm
Cost for the day is $112.50
Details: light refreshments, snacks and meals will be provided, please indicate any allergies at time of registration.
The rewards for attending are great! Participants at past retreats have come away refreshed, energized and minds swimming with new ideas.
