The challenge this month is to create interesting prints without using a brayer. That’s right – NO brayer! I used a brush, sponge, palette knife and a scraper. It’s a different thought process and I will demo the various prints I created.
You will receive a scraper, brush, and sponge to keep and I will have my bin of other brushes and palette knives for class use. Cardstock and papers will be provided.
Bring with you basic monoprinting supplies including: Gel plate (no brayer this time!), Apron, table cover, Acrylic paints , Paper towels, wet wipes, Palette knife/card scraper, Mark making and/or texture tools, Stencils & masks, Art foamies (optional) & Texture stamping plates (optional).
Note: each month we gather on the first Thursday of the month, to create prints on a gel plate. Different styles, tools, techniques and processes are shown each month. The only pre-requisite is to have some printing experience – it is not a beginner class. It’s a great way to expand your knowledge and have some fun. Won’t you join us?
