Today we are sharing a art journal page created by Linda using product from this month's Mixed Media Kit. * these kits are now sold out but limited quantities of certain individual elements are available in store. We love the combination of colors here and the black script. This script was created by using a stencil and black paint. Pop by and see all the creations in person, find some inspiration and get your creative hands busy.
Thank you so much Linda for inspiring us today.
**Dooreen & Linda are already dreaming up the next Mixed Media month kit and I can say already that it is beautiful! We have almost tripled the quantity that we will have available. To have a kit reserved with your name on it call the store at 780-414-1540! The kit cost is $35 for well over $50 worth of product. The next Mixed Media month kit will be available June 1!
Simple Stories makes a product in their Snap Studio collection called Photo Flips. These Photo Flips are perfect for your pocket scrapbooking pages, be it Project Life or any other pocket system. These Photo Flips make it easy to add in extra photos or journaling. You could also use these to "hide" journaling that may be more private. Adding them is easy, peel the adhesive backing and adhere it down to any pocket page.
These can be found in the store in our Project Life section! Enjoy!

We had a fantastic first day at CHA! The energy of the show was intense! Famous faces at every turn. Tim Holtz, Finnabair, Heidi Swapp, Frank Garcia, Amy Tangerine, Julie Nutting, Jen Hadfield, seriously... at every turn. We wish you could all be here with us. We spent the majority of yesterday placing big orders with a few of our favourite companies- Bo Bunny, Kaiser & Prima. The collections are all amazing, you will not be disappointed! Today we are sharing photos taken in the Prima Marketing booth and in the Kaiser Craft booth. Photos are of the various collections and of some of the displays that their designers created for the show. Enjoy and have a great rest of your Sunday! We'll see you again tomorrow with photos and news from day 3 in Aneheim.
WE'RE HERE! We arrived in Anaheim yesterday and were greeted by palm trees and the excited energy that accompanies the CHA show. CHA stands for the Craft & Hobby Association. This is the trade show where all the companies that create your scrapbooking & crafting supplies come together and showcase their new collections. It is where we come and see what is new, fresh & exciting and then we start placing our orders to deliver the best selections to you! It is amazing, overwhelming and so so inspiring.
The first day here was all about checking in, getting pumped up and attending the CHA mega- block party. Mingling with other store owners and employees, a little crafting, a little adult beverage drinking, a little snacking and a lot of awesome. We are so excited to get in the doors of the show today and see what the suppliers have in store for us!
We will be back to share show photos because we just can't keep all this excitement to ourselves!

We carry a huge assortment of the Dusty Attic chipboard in our store and the staff & design team love it. There is a design for just about everyone but a question we get often is "What do I do with it?" Wonder no longer- below are just a few great examples of how to use it on your work.
Leave it raw.
Nadine simply added this to her page and the clean, chipboard look is fabulous on this page.
Spray it with color.
Karen has uses gold & navy Color Shine from Heidi Swapp.
Candace has painted this piece with gold spray paint and then added paper underneath to create a layered effect.
Nadine has embossed these butterflies with a light purple and then again with UTEE.
