October 28, 29 & 30
We are pleased to present another fabulous weekend retreat! ART FEST is for those who love to work in mixed mediums, such as art journals, mail art, assemblage art, art jewelry, hand-bound journals, art dolls, and textile artwork.
ART FEST is all about creative exploration. We will introduce you to a variety of different materials, new approaches with common products, and creative ways to use them. You’ll have the freedom to explore and use your imagination. We will explore the art process with the goal of giving you the ability to ignite your creative potential.
It’s a weekend of learning, great fun, and a way to advance your skills in the world of mixed media. We will be creating and using various substrates as pages in our books: plaster and cheesecloth, canvas, watercolor paper and handmade papers. Come prepared to get messy and have some fun exploring, finding and pushing beyond our limits.
The Nature’s Journal project is inspired by the textures and colors of the natural world. We’ll play with stencils, inks, mark making tools, acrylics, wax, oils, and watercolors. We’ll stitch, glue, paint, collage, sketch, stamp, and embellish the pages to create unique and personal vignettes of your artistic style. The potential for fun is endless!
Registration: Registration is open! Space is limited to 12 spots. Table space is generous with ample seating. Deadline to register is October 25th
Pricing: Cost for the weekend is $210. Friday evening from 6pm to 10pm; Saturday 10am til 10pm; and Sunday from 11am til 5pm. NO Member Discount or stamps for this event.
