This week we are featuring a 12” x 12” layout by Dooreen.
A stamp of the Eiffel tower was offset from the middle of the page. A stencil from The Crafters Workshop was used, with molding paste, to add the word ‘explore’ near the bottom of the page and a broken wheel stencil along the top left. Once the molding paste was dry I sprayed it with Lindy’s Silver Silhouette colour, holding the spray quite close to the paste to avoid splatter, and then moved the color around with a damp paintbrush. The background paper was not treated in any way, so any added wet color will soak in and stain the paper. Add as much or as little color as you want, avoiding over saturating the paper. A photograph of the Eiffel tower was printed off and added to: paper scraps, post cards, and washi tape to create a collage of elements. A script stamp was randomly applied all over the page to visually tie everything together.
Kit products used: Silver Silhouette spray, alphabet card, paper scraps, washi tape. Come into the store to see this and other projects Dooreen & Ann have made with this Mixed Media Kit.
