We will meet on the last Wednesday of each month to create AA&MM projects as well as share ideas, techniques and show off the objects we all create. There will be a planned project for each meeting and a fee to cover cost of product or objects needed to create that month’s subject. The larger goal of these gatherings is to bring together like minded people with many different skills and areas of knowledge to share openly with one another so that all who participate are better empowered to become artists in what ever field of creation they may be interested in. I’d like to see all modes of creation explored over the months and years ahead, from carpentry and photography to sewing and welding, using wax, wood, metal, plastic, ink, glass, fabric, whatever.
Each month’s instructor may change depending on the topic and project. The first meeting will be lead by Daryl Benson (Chantel and KC’s Dad), and the first project will be to further discuss the direction of the society and to create a mixed media hanging display using domino tiles, goose neck display stand, wood cuts and other found objects. Cost is $30.00, everything will be provided to create a display similar to the one shown here (objects hanging from the domino tiles will vary depending on what each individual is interested in making).
